Ain Shams University Hospitals begin working in the Cystic Fibrosis Clinic for Children and using the drug TRIKAFTA
Ain Shams University Hospitals announced the start of work in the Cystic Fibrosis Clinic for Children, and the use of the drug (TRIKAFTA).
The university hospitals explained that children with the disease are undergoing treatment under the supervision of a team that includes a group of professors, faculty staff, and trained assistants body from various specialties including "Pediatric Chest Medicine, Child Psychiatry, Physical Medicine, Clinical Nutrition, and Gastroenterology."
The hospitals indicated that the sick children are being treated by doctors from different specialties.
The hospitals confirmed that the gene therapy for the disease, the drug (TRIKAFTA), has been provided and will be dispensed since the beginning of 2025.
