The Central Nursing Administration at Ain Shams University Hospitals organized the annual nursing conference titled "Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Improving Nursing Services and Achieving Outstanding Medical Care," under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Ali Al-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board of Directors, Prof. Tarek Youssef, Executive Director of the University Hospitals, and under the supervision of Dr. Manal Abdel Salam, Director of the Central Nursing Administration.

The conference covered several key topics, most notably the role of artificial intelligence in healthcare, how it can be used to improve the quality of nursing care, reduce medication errors, and effectively manage patient data.

The conference aimed to explore how artificial intelligence can be employed in healthcare to enhance clinical safety and patient safety, its applications in diagnosing genetic diseases, its support for oncology patients, as well as its role in providing smart services for the elderly.

In his speech, Prof. Tarek Youssef welcomed the attendees, praising the vital role of nursing in improving medical services at Ain Shams University Hospitals. He clarified that the nursing staff had been able to implement many programs and activities that contributed to enhancing their efficiency. He emphasized that artificial intelligence is no longer an obscure concept, as it has become accessible to everyone through modern devices, pointing out its application in the hospitals to manage patient medical data and contribute to improving nursing services and controlling medication dosages.

In her speech, Dr. Manal Abdel Salam thanked the hospital administration for its continuous efforts in developing medical services, which provide an organized and supportive work environment for the nursing team. She also expressed her pride in Ain Shams University Hospitals being pioneers in using robots in surgical operations and commended the nursing staff for their preparation and practical applications, which had a positive impact on the quality of services provided. She affirmed that these achievements highlight the outstanding efforts of the nursing team at Ain Shams University Hospitals.
