Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zein El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Ali El-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, Ain Shams University Hospitals signed a cooperation protocol with EgyptAir Holding Company and Rotary Club Horus Heliopolis, in a step aimed at raising awareness of regular blood donation and meeting the needs of patients who depend on frequent blood transfusion for treatment, such as patients with blood diseases, kidney failure, tumors, and bone marrow transplantation. The protocol was signed by Prof. Dr. Tarek Youssef, Executive Director of Ain Shams University Hospitals, representing the university hospitals, Dr. Ayman Salah Sharaf, Chairman and Executive Managing Director of EgyptAir Medical Services, representing EgyptAir Holding Company, and Ms. Samia Saad Zaghloul Abdel Aziz Bassiouni, President of the Rotary Club of Horus Heliopolis.

Under the protocol, regular blood donation campaigns will be organized at the headquarters of EgyptAir Holding Company and its subsidiaries, with Ain Shams University committed to providing the necessary medical and administrative teams to conduct the campaigns.

The medical services provided during the campaigns include conducting accurate tests for donors to detect blood types and infectious diseases such as hepatitis B and C, immunodeficiency disease and syphilis.

This cooperation reflects support for health efforts and community service by providing the necessary blood to save patients' lives and improve the quality of health care.
