The Vice President of Ain Shams University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs receives a delegation from the Lions Club to discuss enhancing joint cooperation

As part of Ain Shams University's efforts to enhance partnership with civil society institutions, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, received a delegation from the Lions Club this morning to discuss ways of cooperation between the university and civil society institutions in the fields of sustainable development and community services.

The Lions delegation included Dr. Bahaa Attia, Head of Projects, Dr. Hala El-Qadi, Dr. Hanaa El-Rafei, and Eng. Madiha Kassem, in the presence of Dr. Hiam Refaat, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Nursing for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Dr. Heba Barakat, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Girls for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs at Ain Shams University.

Prof. Ghada Farouk praised the advanced thinking of the Lions Club, stressing the importance of projects that focus on building the Egyptian person, whether those that aim to empower women, support literacy, or care for people with special needs. She also referred to the university's various initiatives, within the framework of the presidential initiative "Bedaya… Building a New Human", including development convoys, literacy programs, and interest in scientific research, which is the main pillar of Egypt's progress.

Her Excellency stressed the need for concerted efforts between the university and civil society to achieve sustainable development under the umbrella of the “Bedaya… Building a New Human” initiative, which focuses on raising cultural awareness and promoting values ​​among new generations.

During the meeting, the Lions delegation reviewed a plan that adopts innovative “outside the box” solutions that focus on promoting education and achieving community development, as services were provided in the field of education, economic empowerment of women, and care for students with disabilities, in addition to interest in afforestation and planting useful trees used in development projects.

The Lions delegation expressed their aspiration to sign a cooperation protocol with the university that includes training, awareness, and expanding the horizons of cooperation between the university and the club.

At the end of the meeting, the Lions delegation expressed their appreciation for the role of Ain Shams University in supporting community issues, stressing their keenness to continue cooperation to achieve common goals and serve the community at all levels.
