Ain Shams University announces the opening of applications for the university awards for individuals as follows:

First: Prof. Karimat Mahmoud El-Sayed Award

It is an award whose establishment was approved by the decision of the Ain Shams University Council on January 21, 2004, and the regulations were amended by the decision of the University Council held on 12/2/2024 and is awarded for the best research in the field of physics.

Award conditions:

The award is awarded for the best research in the field of physics, provided that the research includes the study of the crystalline or molecular properties of materials.

The applicant researcher may be an individual from the physics departments of the relevant university faculties or in collaboration with others, provided that the applicant is the principal investigator.

The academic degree of the faculty staff when applying for the award is "Lecturer" in the departments of nature (physics) in the faculties of the aforementioned university.

Second: Prof. Hussein Abu Laila Award:

It is an award whose establishment was approved by the decision of the Ain Shams University Council on December 26, 1994, and is awarded to the best research in the field of physics submitted by faculty members from the university's faculties (Sciences - Girls - Education - Computer and Information Sciences)

Award conditions:

1- The award is awarded to the best individual research in the field of physics.

2- The researcher applying for the award may be with others, provided that the specialization is unique among the list of authors

3- The academic degree of the faculty member when applying for the award is "Lecturer" in the departments of physics (physics) in the faculties of the aforementioned university.

Third: Prof. Latifa Al- Houty Award:

It is an award whose establishment was approved by the decision of the Ain Shams University Council on February 26, 1995, and is awarded to the best research in the field of experimental physics submitted by an assistant professor in one of the physics departments from the university's faculties (Sciences - Girls - Education - Computer and Information Sciences)

Award conditions

1- The award is awarded to the best individual research in the field of experimental physics.

2- The researcher applying for the award may be with others, provided that he/she is unique in his/her specialization among the list of authors.

3- The academic degree of the faculty staff when applying for the award shall be "Assistant Professor" in the Departments of Physics in the faculties of the aforementioned university.

Procedures for applying for the university awards (Individuals)

(Prof. Karimat Mahmoud El-Sayed Award, Prof. Hussein Abu Laila Award, Prof. Latifa Al-Houty Award) for faculty staff from the university

1- Submit a paper and electronic copy of the published scientific research.

2- Submit an approved list of the names of the researchers mentioned in the submitted research, their specializations, and the role of each of them in the research.

3- The decision of the department and faculty council to approve the nomination.

4- A recent status statement for the candidate approved by the university.

5- Copies of the candidate's national ID card.

6- Contact information for the candidate.

Note that the deadline for receiving nominations is February 15, 2025

Submission shall be made to the Awards Office - General Administration of Scientific Research - in the Administration Building - behind Saffron Palace.
