Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Ali Al-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, organized yesterday, Friday, the second graduation ceremony for the faculty's international students, batch 2024, under the supervision of the university's alumni associations.
The ceremony was attended by Prof. Osama Abdel-Hay, Head of the Doctors Syndicate, Prof. Hala Suweed, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Rania Salah, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Students Affairs, Prof. Reem Al-Kabariti, Director of the University's Alumni Associations, Prof. Sherweit El-Ahmady, Director of the University's International Students Department, and Prof. Naira Mustafa, Director of the International Students Office at the Faculty of Medicine.
In his speech, Prof. Osama Abdel-Hay, Head of the Doctors Syndicate, congratulated the graduates, and the doctors' oath was recited and repeated by the graduates to begin their practical lives after they pledged to God to adhere to the ethics of the profession.
In her speech, Prof. Hala Suweed congratulated the graduates and their families, praising the role of the Faculty of Medicine in graduating distinguished scientific cadres; she also stressed that the faculty opens its doors to them for training, boarding and enrollment in postgraduate studies.
Prof. Rania Salah thanked the parents who are reaping the fruits of their efforts and giving today, wishing everyone continued success in their practical lives, noting that the college spares no effort to graduate graduates who possess the knowledge, skills and competencies that enable them to keep pace with the requirements of the local and regional labor market, and that it also works to prepare the graduate for a changing society that requires positive interaction.
Prof. Reem Al-Kabariti delivered a congratulatory speech to the graduates and their families on the occasion of their graduation and the completion of their difficult study journey in addition to their expatriation, welcoming them to their second home, Egypt, and that they are among the best graduates at the level of local and international universities due to the insistence of the university administration that its graduates be distinguished and different and from now on they are ambassadors of Ain Shams University in their countries, and she called on them to communicate continuously with the university through the university's alumni association.
Prof. Sherweit El-Ahmady advised the graduates to commit and work hard in their practical life and encourage them because they are ambassadors of Ain Shams University in their countries.
Prof. Naira Mustafa also delivered a speech in which she explained the efforts of the International Students Office and its development to provide academic and non-academic support and scientific and recreational activities for international students and encouraged graduates to make an effort in their practical life.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Hajri, a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, who is Jordanian, delivered a congratulatory speech to the graduates via video, reviewing the distinguished level of the college that helped him in his academic career.
Representatives of the graduates also delivered speeches expressing their gratitude to their second country, Egypt, and to the Faculty of Medicine at Ain Shams University and the faculty members for the knowledge, experience and expertise they provided them during their academic journey.
It is worth noting that the ceremony witnessed the graduation of 290 students from 21 different nationalities, including Sudan, Palestine, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Libya, Afghanistan, India, Somalia and Chad, in the presence of a group of cultural attachés, embassy representatives, faculty staff and parents of students; The ceremony also included some artistic shows.
