"LinkedIn and the Career Path" Workshop at the Faculty of Alsun

The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Support Unit at the Faculty of Alsun (ASU -Alsun) at Ain Shams University organized a workshop entitled "Graphic Design and Design Basics", with the aim of providing students with basic knowledge about graphic design and its most important principles, under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, Prof. Amani Osama Kamel Hassan, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, and under the supervision of Prof. Ashraf Attia, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, Dr. Mohamed Magdy, Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Support Unit at the University, Assistant Lecturer. Heidi Khaled, Assistant Lecturer in the Department of African Languages, Swahili Section and Acting Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Support Unit.

The workshop was presented by the lecturer, Mr. Ayman Al-Sherbiny - CEO of Influence-me. The workshop discussed the LinkedIn website and how to create a professional profile on it, how students and researchers can get jobs through it, and the most important secrets on the website to make the profile more professional when presented to employers.

This is through several axes, which are: The importance of LinkedIn as a professional platform for communication and building professional relationships, an effective means of searching for job opportunities and personal marketing.

Building a strong professional image that reflects skills and experiences, the importance of valuable content and interaction with others to increase visibility, the importance of improving the personal profile through a professional image and a banner that reflects the field, the title is a brief and distinctive definition that expresses the specialization or value provided, the summary is a brief explanation of experiences, skills and achievements.

Address the need to clarify experiences, details of previous and current jobs, skills and recommendations, highlighting basic skills and obtaining confirmation from others, certificates and courses, adding any professional certificates or training courses.

The importance of interaction and building relationships, through sending contact requests in a professional manner, publishing content related to the field and participating in discussions, supporting others by interacting with their posts and giving recommendations.

The discussion also touched on the importance of searching for job opportunities using Jobs to search for suitable jobs and apply directly, communicating with hiring managers and building a strong network.
