On the sidelines of the meeting of the heads and deputies of student unions in Egyptian universities, a delegation from the Students Union Council of Ain Shams University participated in the New Republic Universities Student Union Leaders Forum 2030 program, held at the premises of Assiut University from February 10 to February 13, 2025.

The participation of the delegation came under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and with the participation of student union leaders from various universities and institutes across Egypt, along with student delegations from 28 public, private, and national universities.

The forum began with the national anthem and recitation of verses from the Quran, followed by a speech from Prof. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, who welcomed Dr. Nazir Ayad, the Grand Mufti of Egypt, Major General Dr. Hisham Abu Al-Nasr, Governor of Assiut, and the guests of the university. He expressed his sincere gratitude for their attendance at the forum's opening, held within the university, and the opportunity to meet with young leaders from the student unions of the New Republic's universities, with participation from 28 Egyptian universities (governmental, private, and national).

The opening session of the forum included a lecture by Dr. Nazir Ayad, Grand Mufti of Egypt and Head of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Bodies worldwide, titled "The Role of Knowledge in Building Awareness." The forum also featured a panel discussion with Engineer Mohamed Al-Naqeeb, Head of the Students Union of Egyptian Schools, and a lecture by Dr. Hossam Al-Sharif, Deputy Director of the Institute for Leadership Preparation and Assistant to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Student Activities, on 'Etiquette, Ceremonies, and Protocols for Key Leadership Positions.
