The President of Ain Shams University receives a delegation from the British Universities of Essex and East Anglia

As part of Ain Shams University's keenness to enhance academic cooperation and expand partnership horizons with international universities, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zein El-Abedeen, President of the University, received a delegation from the British Universities of Essex and East Anglia, headed by Prof. Maria Vasli, Vice President of the University, while the delegation of the University of Essex was headed by Prof. Stephen Maguire, Vice President of the University for International Relations.

This visit comes after the signing of a cooperation protocol between Ain Shams University and the two British universities, in the New Administrative Capital.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Prof. Amani Kamel, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, in addition to several deans and vice deans of faculties, and Dr. Kamal Obeid, Director of the International Cooperation Department.

During the meeting, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zein El-Abedeen stressed that expanding international cooperation is a strategic direction for the university, aiming to qualify students to keep pace with the challenges of the labor market and future requirements. He also pointed out that studies will begin this year at Ain Shams International University, which offers distinguished academic programs based on the credit hour system, in addition to granting dual degrees in cooperation with several international universities.

         
   
         

The meeting also discussed mechanisms for activating the cooperation protocol signed between the two parties, and exploring partnership opportunities in various scientific disciplines, whether through launching joint academic programs or granting dual degrees, which contributes to enhancing academic and research integration.
