The Faculty of Law organizes a scientific symposium on Negotiated Criminal Justice

Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, the Egyptian-French Department at the Faculty of Law organized a symposium entitled "Negotiated Criminal Justice".

The symposium was opened by Prof. Mohamed Safi, Dean of the Faculty, who welcomed the attendees, shedding light on the historical academic and research relations between Ain Shams University and Jean Moulin Lyon 3 University.

The session was moderated by Prof. Yassin El Shazly, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies, and the seminar was attended by Dr. Thomas Lyon, lecturer at Jean Moulin Lyon 3 University, Claude Bernard University, and the French School of Law, in addition to his work as a lawyer in the field of criminal law.

The symposium was held in the presence of Prof. Mohamed El Shafei, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Ahmed Dehoum, Vice Dean for Community and Environmental Affairs, Prof. Nora Issa, Director of the Egyptian-French Department, Ms. Nada El Gamal, Deputy Director of the Egyptian-French Department, and a group of senior faculty staff, and teaching assistants. The symposium was also attended by students of the Egyptian-French Department from various levels, as well as French Master’s students.

The faculty was honored by the presence of His Excellency Counselor Hossam Sadek, Assistant Minister of Justice for International and Cultural Cooperation Affairs, and a group of advisors and judges from Egyptian courts.

The symposium took place in an interactive framework between the French professor and the attendees interested in the field of criminal law, in which they discussed the legal and practical developments in the field of negotiating criminal justice, and the lecturer presented the subject from a comparative perspective between the French and Egyptian legal systems.
