The Faculty of Medicine hosts the 8th Integrated Student Conference with wide participation from Egyptian and Arab universities

Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zein El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Ali Al-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, the activities of the Eighth Integrated Student Conference for Student Research and Research Projects concluded, in the presence of Prof. Rania Salah, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, and a group of deans of faculties and professors from various universities, with the participation of more than one Egyptian and Arab university.

The conference, which lasted for two days, aimed to provide a platform for students to present their research and scientific projects, and exchange experiences and knowledge in various fields.

   
   

Prof. Amani Mukhtar, Professor of Public Health and Head of the Conference, stressed the importance of scientific research in developing society, the role of the conference in encouraging students to innovate and create, and the importance of uniting students from different universities under the banner and slogan of scientific research. She also pointed out that the conference, from the organization to the research participations, was attended by male and female students from different universities who gathered for the success of this conference, which is the largest and most comprehensive in the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Arab countries.

   
   

Prof. Maha Al-Jaafari, Professor of Public Health and Secretary of the Conference, explained that this conference is a creative platform, and this was evident through the large number of distinguished research papers received this year, which are distinguished and unique in the submitted research, as nearly 500 scientific papers were received and 134 were selected. The first day of the conference included the presentation of 65 papers submitted by the Faculties of Human Medicine, Faculties of Dentistry, Faculties of Pharmacy, Faculties of Physiotherapy, Faculties of Science, Faculties of Health Sciences, Faculties of Nursing, Faculties of Agriculture, Faculties of Biotechnology, and these events witnessed a large attendance of students, researchers and academics. The conference witnessed wide participation from students, researchers and academics, and 20 scientific sessions with the attendance of more than 50 faculty members in the various arbitration committees who praised the advanced scientific level of our student researchers who presented distinguished scientific research and projects in various fields. The Eighth Integrated Student Conference concluded its activities by honoring the distinguished students, then honoring the universities that played the largest role in participating in organizing the conference: Ain Shams University represented by the Student Union, Galala University, and Kafr El-Sheikh University, followed by honoring the winning research, as the Faculty of Medicine at Ain Shams University won first place with a joint research with the Faculty of Medicine, Kasr El-Aini, and the Faculty of Medicine, Galala University, while second place went to the Faculty of Medicine at the Arab University in Beirut, and the winning research in the rest of the centers was honored.

At the end of the ceremony, a film was shown documenting what happened in the scientific sessions of the conference, then presentations by incoming students, followed by a singing segment, then a documentary film about our beloved Egypt, followed by a religious chanting segment shared between the Faculty of Medicine, Misr University for Science and Technology, and the Faculty of Nursing, Ain Shams University.

The conference participants expressed their happiness in participating in this important scientific event, which gave them the opportunity to present their research and projects.
