Based on the keenness of the Ain Shams University administration, headed by Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen- President of the University, to provide an integrated healthy work environment for the families of all its members, including faculty staff, teaching assistants and administrative staff, by providing them with distinguished healthcare services with the highest possible efficiency, the university administration is studying launching a new proposal to amend the subscription of the families of faculty staff, teaching assistants and employees of the university's administrative body to the Medical Care Fund, with the aim of providing distinguished medical services at reasonable prices through Ain Shams University hospitals represented by (Ain Shams Specialized Hospital - El Obour Specialized Hospital - University Hospitals and their various units).
This proposal comes within the framework of Ain Shams University's keenness to provide the best services to employees and their families and reduce their financial burdens, especially in light of the high costs of health care. The university administration has confirmed that it will take the opinions of employees into consideration when making the final decision on the proposal.

About the proposal:
Annual subscription: The annual subscription ranges between 3500 and 5500 pounds, depending on the age group, provided that the subscription is for the entire family.
Annual medical coverage:
250,000 EGP annually, including the following:
1- 200,000 EGP for admissions and operations.
2- 24,000 EGP for monthly chronic treatment (2,000 EGP per month) with a 20% deductible
3- 20,000 EGP for outpatient examinations and physical therapy with a maximum of 12 sessions per year.
4- 6,000 EGP for acute diseases annually with a 20% deductible
Subscription starts from 1/1 of each year and ends on 31/12 of the same year, with a re-evaluation of the controls and subscription value every year
Medical Services: The Fund includes a wide range of medical services, including:
* Surgical operations.
* Inpatient and emergency treatment.
* Chronic treatment.
* Outpatient examinations and checkups.
* Physiotherapy.
* Dental treatment.
Exceptions: There are some exceptions that the Fund does not cover, such as:
* Medications before and after operations.
* Elective surgeries.
* Prosthetic devices
* Infertility treatment.
* Gastric sleeve surgeries (obesity surgeries).
* Eyeglasses and vision correction.
* Cosmetic surgeries except in cases of medical necessity such as deformity resulting from surgery.
