His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi issued a presidential decree appointing Prof. Safaa Ahmed Mohamed Shehata as Dean of the Faculty of Education at Ain Shams University for a period of three years.
It is worth noting that Prof. Safaa Shehata has been serving as Acting Dean of the Faculty of Education since January 11, 2023. She began her academic career as a teaching assistant in the Department of Foundations of Education at the Faculty of Education, at Ain Shams University, and then progressed through the ranks until she attained the rank of Professor. She also served as Chair of the Foundations of Education Department Council from August 1, 2016, to July 31, 2019. She then served as Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education for Education and Student Affairs from August 1, 2019, until the decision was issued to appoint her as Dean of the Faculty.
Her Excellency also supervised the Special Education Department from May 5, 2021, to date, in addition to supervising the English Language Department from March 17, 2021, to July 31, 2021.
Prof. Safaa Shehata has numerous academic contributions and participations at the international level. She served as the head of the academic accreditation visit team for the Geography Program at Princess Nourah University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in January 2023. She was also a member of the accreditation visit team for the Foundations of Education Program at the Faculty of Education at Qassim University in December 2020, and a member of the accreditation visit team for the Educational Administration and Supervision Program at the Faculty of Education at King Khalid University in 2021.
In addition, she served as an external auditor at the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education. She also served as the Authority's technical advisor for the Humanities and Social Sciences sector in 2019 and as a member of the technical committee reviewing the Authority's external audit visit reports.
Prof. Safaa is a member of the editorial boards of several scientific journals, in addition to her active participation in several local and international research projects. She has also contributed to enriching the scientific library with a number of publications and has served on trainer accreditation committees.
