During the academic year 2023-2024, the Faculty of Medicine's International Student and Mobility office engaged in various non-academic activities aimed at enriching the student experience. Culturally, initiatives included hosting an intercultural communication course to facilitate cultural exchange among international students. Additionally, the college organized annual trips to Egypt's historical landmarks, such as the Egyptian Civilization Museum and Al-Muizz Street, in collaboration with the Faculty of Archaeology at Ain Shams University, providing guided tours for students. Moreover, the office participated in cultural segments at the Student Research Conference in February 2024. Socially, efforts included financial and moral support for Palestinian students from Gaza and psychological support for Sudanese students. Furthermore, seminars were conducted in collaboration with the Sudanese Embassy, focusing on the mental health of Sudanese students. Social events encompassed collective Ramadan iftars, distributing new clothes to children at the Damietta Hospital during Eid al-Fitr, and organizing a college-wide entertainment day in cooperation with the Faculty of Medicine's Student Union, celebrating diversity and featuring traditional attire, cuisines, and performances from various cultures. Additionally, sports activities included football matches held at the college's fields during the first semester of 2024, based on student preferences identified through a survey conducted by the office.
