Reasons for establishing the International Student Care Unit:
- The need for a specialized department equipped with financial capabilities and trained human cadres to care for international students in the college.
- The importance of internationalizing education through international students is one of the criteria for ensuring the quality and accreditation of higher education institutions.
- Reviewing local, regional, and international experiences that demonstrate the need to establish this department for international students and the college.
Vision:
Work on various services and social and cultural Academy for students using the results of the most recent scientific studies in this area that define the needs of these students. Which necessarily leads to an increase in social adjustment and academic achievement, and then contributes to the internationalization of education standards, and thus achieve quality performance in the faculty of nursing at Ain Shams University to be at the forefront of higher education institutions that offer the same service and quality.
Mission:
The International Students Affairs are planning, implementation, and monitoring of activities and services, administrative and financial aspects, social and cultural rights to assess their contribution to the needs of students and improve the quality of overall performance as input to increase the ability of the College to achieve academic, administrative and financial standards required for international students.
General objectives of the International Student Care Unit:
- Supporting the image of the Faculty of Nursing as an Egyptian college with a global character.
- Providing information about all academic programs in the college and the conditions for admission.
- Facilitating and following up on the procedures for registration, enrollment and graduation for students within the college.
- Spreading the culture of the importance of international students and their care within the college and among faculty members, administrators, and foreign students already registered in the college.
- Providing full care for international students within the college.
- Helping solves academic, accommodation, and other problems for international students inside and outside the college.
- Identifying the services that must be provided to students, classifying them and determining priorities among them.
- Working to achieve coordination between international students and the college departments
- Contributing to building bridges of trust between the college and international students.
- Providing the necessary human and financial resources to provide and improve the services provided to international students.
- Linking the services provided to the problems suffered by international students.
- Helping students improve their academic performance.
- Finding ways to attract incoming students.
- Holding community outreach forums to integrate incoming students into the community culture.
- Searching for all opportunities that increase students' social and cultural adaptation.
- Communicating and cooperating with faculty members to facilitate the study of incoming students.
- Evaluating the satisfaction of incoming students with the services provided by the college and the incoming students' administration.
