The internal coordination work began at the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, for new students and registration of their wishes for the faculty departments, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Mortada, Dean of the Faculty and supervision of and Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs.

The internal coordination work will continue until Sunday, October 3, in the lower floor at Faculty of Arts, according to the announced lists.

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Mortada explained that the students accepted to the faculty for the academic year "2021/2022" are received and registered, and their number is 2,643 male and female "regularity" and 729 male and female "affiliation", they are arranged alphabetically by 420 students per day, as they are dealt with through 8 coordinating committees to manage student affairs at the faculty, in order to comply with the precautionary measures imposed by the university, due to the conditions of the “Covid-19” virus, in addition to providing all means of comfort for new students, preparing places to wait for parents, and preparing a film to clarify the steps of application, starting with opening the file and passing through all steps coordination.

Prof. Dr. Murtada said that the student arranges his three wishes according to their compatibility with the conditions of admission to the fifteen departments of the faculty, which include departments: Arabic language and literature, English language and literature, French language and literature, oriental languages ​​and literature (Persian - Urdu - Turkish), Hebrew language, libraries and information, civilization Ancient European, history, geography, philosophy, psychology, sociology, tourist guidance and (French language department with additional fees), communication sciences, media and finally drama and theater criticism, pointing out that the Archeology Department was not included in order to transfer it to the Faculty of Archeology starting from this The year, in addition to the establishment of 4 study programs with additional expenses, namely, the Geomatics Digital Technology Program, the Hindi Language Program, the Hebrew and Israeli Studies Program, and the Intermediate English Studies Program. The faculty's continuous endeavor to develop and modernize the educational process and provide a distinguished graduate capable of keeping pace with the labor market.


The Dean of the Faculty added that the Faculty announced the conditions for joining the existing study programs, which are also witnessing a great demand from students.

The members of the medical center also conduct a medical examination for new students through the Ophthalmology and Internal Medicine Clinic, and a certificate of vaccination against the emerging corona virus is required among the application requirements. From one of the approved centers, and if it is not available, the student will be subjected to analysis by the medical center.

While Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel said that the names of the students and the steps for registering desires were announced on the guidance panels and also through the website and the official page of the faculty on the social networking site “Facebook”, noting that an information desk was equipped to guide students and receive their inquiries about coordination procedures, explaining the faculty’s keenness to Publishing the terms of the faculty departments since the start of the first phase of coordination.

In addition to the presence of members of the Student Union at the faculty and their participation in receiving and guiding new students, under the supervision of the Youth Welfare Department and the participation of the various departments of the faculty until the completion of the registration procedures.

Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel explained that the documents required for internal coordination are the high school certificate original and photo, electronic birth certificate with triple number original and photo, ID copy, nomination card original and photo and 6 new personal photos (4 x 6), Corona virus vaccination certificate(first dose at least, and those under 18 years of age are not vaccinated), a certificate of analysis of “Hepatitis C” from one of the approved centers, and finally a form (2 soldiers) for males.
