Sheikh Zayed Book Award
The Sheikh Zayed Book Award, organized by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center, has announced the opening of admission for its 19th round 2024-2025.
This award is one of the prestigious literary awards, organized by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center with the support and sponsorship of the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi. It is awarded to creative thinkers, publishers and young people for their contributions in the fields of authorship and translation in the humanities, which have a clear impact on enriching cultural, literary and social life, according to scientific and objective standards.
The award receives entries in 10 different branches, namely literature, translation, development and nation-building, Arab culture in other languages, children's and young adult literature, manuscript verification, arts and critical studies, young author, cultural personality of the year, publishing and cultural technologies.
The criteria for submitting works in the award’s branches depend on several conditions, including that the nominee has the right to submit only one work for one of its branches, provided that the work has not been nominated for any other award, either personally or by proxy, during the same year, and that the nominated literary work must contain an international number (ISBN), (ISBN, ISBN), in order to guarantee intellectual property rights, while the award is not granted to a work that has previously won another Arab or international award. It is permissible to re-nominate for the award with the same work, if it meets the period condition, and new copies of the work must be submitted.
