The Center of Excellence for Sustainability discussed with the students of the Department of Urban Planning at the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, their ideas related to the students’ projects for this year, which depend largely on studying the environmental challenges on the national level and working to solve them in a more creative way, by achieving the goals of sustainable development in a comprehensive way, along with the application of multiple urban concepts, in order to achieve the goals of governance and management of water, waste, energy, and sustainable means of transportation within smart cities in order to achieve a healthy living environment within these cities. This comes within Ain Shams University's strategy to transform into a green, smart, sustainable university and transform sciences into multidisciplinary sciences that aim to achieve the sustainable development goals of the United Nations and give graduates new skills in dealing with environmental issues.
