As part of the cooperation between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Social Solidarity, the Supreme Council of Universities issued a decision approving the launch of the Ministry of Social Solidarity's Mawadda digital platform for distance learning.

The launch at Ain Shams University comes under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University. This is in line with the Supreme Council of Universities' decision to pilot the platform throughout the current academic year 2024/2025 for students enrolled at universities, in preparation for its adoption as a mandatory graduation requirement.

The platform includes academic content available through the websites of the university faculties.
