In line with the important role that university museums play in promoting scientific and academic exchange, and affirming the role of the Zafaran Museum as an educational university museum within Ain Shams University, a significant source of learning and education, the museum offers valuable opportunities for non-specialists in various fields to benefit from its exhibits and information to enhance their culture and knowledge. It also welcomes researchers, scholars, and specialists from around the world, under the umbrella of Ain Shams University, which places great emphasis on scientific research.

Today, the Zafaran Museum hosted a group of Chinese researchers and scholars as part of their visit to Ain Shams University. They were working as a team on a research project titled "Modeling the Environmental and Social Determinants of Epidemics and Diseases in Egypt." The group took time to visit the museum, explore its halls, and learn about its collections, particularly the Digital Heritage Hall, where they focused on the historical and archaeological significance of the Ebers Papyrus, one of the most famous medical papyri dating back to 1550 BCE during the reign of King Amenhotep I. This papyrus contains descriptions and treatments for common diseases and epidemics during the New Kingdom era and subsequent periods. The visitors enjoyed an interactive experience of translating the papyrus, a technological application used in the Digital Heritage Hall.

The visitors were greeted and accompanied throughout their tour by the museum's team, including Dr. Walaa Eldin Badawi, Museum Director, Mr. Hossam Mohamed, Museum Curator, and the Museum’s Public Relations and Community Outreach team, Ms. Walaa Bakr and Ms. Nour El-Huda, who all ensured a warm welcome and took commemorative photos during and after the tour.
